Betabrand is a fast growth, venture backed apparel company based in San Francisco. We crowdsource design ideas and crowdfund them to life. Betabrand’s Engineering department is looking for a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join its ranks.
As Betabrand’s Infrastructure Engineer you will own our stack running on Kubernetes via Google Cloud. You will be responsible for keeping our e-commerce website and its supporting systems running smoothly and for improving and scaling them over time. If you’re looking to have a large personal impact on a small engineering team at a late stage startup, this is the role for you!
Your long term goals will be comprised of designing software and systems of low complexity and high reliability, scalability and security. You are expected to carefully consider your options and build solutions that not only work now but for the foreseeable future.
You will be highly autonomous, rigorous, responsive, communicative, collaborative, willing to read and write clear documentation, and willing to read, understand and modify other people’s source code.
You will be delighted to tackle the problems that arise from constant growth and seasonal traffic changes.
You’ll also work closely with our small, tight-knit engineering team where you help with tooling, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines and maintain a development environment that replicates our production configuration as closely as possible on our local machines.

3+ years in infrastructure engineering

Hands-on experience with building and maintaining an ecommerce website

Strong networking design, implementation and maintenance experience

Thorough knowledge of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs; understanding of shared software concepts
